How can I tell if my pet is feeling bad and when he’s feeling better?
There are visible signs of when your pet is feeling bad and suffering from joint, arthritis and muscle (JAM) pains. Signs of JAM pains include:
- Limping
- Moving more slowly in any activity
- Difficulty getting up from resting
- Painful yelping when touched
- Personality change that avoids touch
- Reluctant to walk, climb, jump or play
- May refuse using stairs and jumping in the car
- Change in appetite
- Change in behavior
- Lagging behind
- May look for warm soft sleeping spot
- Noticeable weight shift to unaffected limbs
- Affected limbs will have muscle atrophy
When your pet is feeling better he will exhibit signs of improved mobility, better moods, and will have more energy to go for walks, etc.
