Your pet does not have to be any certain age before using our ear mite cure. We use our PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray or Ear Wash Treatment and our PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray to work against ear mites.
There is no age limitation on these products. Normally you will not start to see signs of ear mites in your pet’s ears until after the first couple of weeks after birth. Some signs of ear mite are excessive wax build up and also dark debris in the ear. This will take some time to build up. Ear mites can transfer from the mother to the litter.
If you treat the mother for ear mites ahead of time you should be able to stop an infestation of ear mites in the litter. Normally you will not see an ear mite infestation until after a couple of weeks that they are alive. So it is safe to say you can start the treatment at two weeks old. If you treat the animal before two weeks please call for a revised regimen.
Possibly only using the product once per day or every other day may be sufficient. You need to be real careful treating a very small animal less than one pound. Treatment can depend on the size of your pet and the ear mite symptoms they are having.
