where to get financial help pet care free clinic ?
I have a puppy of about 9mo old. He is the best dog ever especially because he has become the only friend my special need son has. He is having a server skin problem. We know that it is not mange and it is not just a flea problem. We bought some stuff that has worked a little but requires a lot of work on a daily basis. I really think he needs to see a vet but I just can not afford it right now. If anyone knows where I can get financial help or find a free clinic or something in the Riverside county area of southern California or direct me to a good web sight that may have useful info for me I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t want to give him away he has been so good for my son but he is really starting suffer. PLEASE HELP!
I don’t know of anywhere specific that will be able to offer free services, but I know there something called pet care credit. You can usually apply right at the vets office, sort of like a credit card for the vet. Just be careful with interest rates. Another idea, maybe call a local vet clinic and just ask if you can make weekly or biweekly payments (even if you can only throw 5 or ten bucks a week, still better than the poor little puppy suffering, right?). Many places (at least where I am from) will allow you to do that. Maybe explain the situation. All they can say is no, right? Often, skin diseases are easy to treat. Could be ringworm, which is extremely contagious but relatively inexpensive to treat. Good luck with your puppy!
I did a quick search and this is what I came up with, this link has resources available for pet health care assistance. I wish you good luck.
