Did you know….

- Adult Fleas use heat to find warm-blooded hosts to develop and reproduce.

- Severe flea infestations can cause intense itching, skin lesions, anemia, weight loss and restlessness.

- Fleas transmit tapeworms and are known carriers of diseases like tularemia, murine, typhus and the plague.

- Eggs are laid on the host and fall off into pet bedding and other areas of your home.

- Eggs hatch within a few days, and larvae head towards dark places around your home and feed on “flea dirt” — secretions of partially digested pet blood.

- Larvae grow, molt twice, then spin cocoons where they pupate.

- Adult fleas emerge from the cocoons, hop onto a host, feed, mate and begin the life cycle all over again.
