Mange Spray
***Any mange treatment has to be one that can get fully into the dogs skin and kill not only the mites but any eggs they will have laid, as mites reproduce at an alarming rate and the population can explode very quickly.
Attacking the mange infection at root cause is the only successful solution, as once the mite population has been removed there will be no more spread of infection and the dog will heal effectively.
Mange is still a common illness but is one that can be treated easily with the right approach; should a dog display any of the symptoms described it should be treated on the spot.

About Mange and Mange Treatment

Mange is brought about by mites that burrow under the skin and is a very unpleasant problem, but one that can be treated easily and quickly if approached with haste.
It is well known that mites on dogs are there as a matter of course but it is only when the number of mites becomes out of control that mange comes about.
This explosion in the mite population can be as a result of many things – disease in older or very young dogs is one popular reason, and poor nutrition another
Mange is displayed by unusual scratching and unusual red areas on the skin, as the mites dine on the hair follicles causing the dogs coat to become uneven.
There are different mites that bring about mange, and the most frequently seen type is Sarcoptic mange, a problem that can also be seen in us where it is known as scabies.
Sarcoptic mange is contagious famously, so if there are further animals in contact with an infected dog they need also be treated.
It is often wise keeping an eye open for any instances of excessive tiredness or lack of appetite, as well as poor sleep patterns and horrible odours as these can also be signs that preface the onset of mange on dogs.
Recognising mange is a simple affair and involves a sample of skin from the infected area; this will indicate the severity and type of mange present and help to identify the right method of treatment.
It is odd but not unknown, for mange to be life threatening, and it is usually the elderly or very young dogs that are most prone to this.
Any notable alterations in behaviour that may indicate mange should be taken seriously and rapid treatment is vital.
Progressive irritation can be taken as a direct indication that mange may be present, and treatment should be applied immediately.
It is vital that immediate treatment is used in combating mange, as this is not a problem that will pass over or heal of its own accord.
Mange, which is caused by mites, must be treated quickly and efficiently and the mites eradicated in order to rectify the problem, and the treatments for doing this are especially for the condition.
If left untreated mange will only become a bigger problem as the mites take a hold; in such cases the mange can spread from a specific part of the dog’s body to become an all-encompassing affliction that is very uncomfortable.
Treatment for mange is well tried and often quick, although efficiency depends on the breed of dog concerned as long haired dogs are harder to treat.
There are many ways in which mange in dogs is treated; the use of creams and lotions is usually a preferred method, and in many cases a spray is utilised and an antibiotic prescribed.
In a number of cases of mange treatment results will begin to become evident after treatment has been ongoing for a week, but again the breed, age and condition of the dog in question has an effect on the lifetime of the treatment.
