Our company sells two products that are used for ringworm on cats. These are our PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream and our PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray.

The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray is an effective ringworm spray that is used directly on the ringworm affected area. This product can also be used as a preventative. You can lightly spray it all over your cat’s fur and rub it in to kill and ringworm spores that may be on the fur. It is very easy to apply the spray to the skin. You can either spray it directly on the cat or use a Q-Tip or Cotton Swab and apply it to the area.

The other product used for ringworm on cats is the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream. The PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream consists of white sulfur MSM and pine oil. This product will help with the itching, work against the ringworm spores and also rejuvenate the skin. The PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream is applied very lightly to the affected area. You should not use this product for ringworm prevention. The PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream does have pieces of MSM crystallized in the cream. When you are finished rubbing the cream completely into the skin, there may be crystals left on the fur, simply use a paper towel or washcloth to brush these off of your cat’s fur so that they are not ingested when licked.

It is a common misconception about ringworm that if it is left untreated it will go away. If you do not use some sort of treatment for pet ringworm it will not go away on its own.

If you are treating a dog with ringworm you would use our PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream, PetsBestRx Healing Gel and the PetsBestRx Pet Wash. If you are treating a cat with ringworm you would use our PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream and our PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. All of our pet ringworm products are completely safe and nontoxic topical creams, sprays and gels. These products do not require the use of an oral ringworm medications or antibiotics.

Normally for cat ringworm the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray and the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream are alternated using one in the morning and one at night daily during your ringworm treatment. The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray only needs to be lightly misted. You can either spray it direct on your cat or you can use a Q-Tip or Cotton ball. The PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream is also lightly applied directly to the affected areas. The ringworm cream does have little bits of crystallized MSM in it. When applying it will leave little pieces on the fur, you can wipe them off with a paper towel of wash cloth. This will insure they are not ingested. If you cat licks too much of the cream it can cause a stomach ache only just like licking soaps or detergent. This is a completely safe and non toxic treatment for cat ringworm.

A paper regimen should come in every pet ringworm page. This contains generic instructions for treating a normal to mild case of pet ringworm. In the regular regimen for pet ringworm it is stated that the products need to be used daily.

If you are treating a dog with ringworm, your first step will be to use the PetsBestRx Pet Wash. You are normally going to use this product like any other dog shampoo. Wet your dog, then apply the pet wash and lather, and then thoroughly rinse with clear water. If you are treating ringworm on cats, you need to use the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray and the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream daily. You normally use on in the morning and one at night. You alternate using the cream in the morning and the spray at night or vise versa. It is suggested to use the products daily. If you skip a day or a couple of days at a time then your treatment will not be as effective as it should be.

If you are treating a dog, after you apply the PetsBestRx Pet Wash, you will use the PetsBestRx Healing Gel and the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream daily. You normally use on in the morning and one at night. You alternate using the cream in the morning and the spray at night or vise versa. The smallest amount that you would use on very small animals would be one product per day. For instance, using the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream one day and then use the PetsBestRX Healing Gel and the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray the following day.

There is no specific number of ringworm cases in pets. Some are reported and some are not so it is difficult to give a true answer to this question. It is most important to treat your pet for ringworm once you realize they have come in contact with the ringworm fungus spores.

You will not see the ringworm develop on your pet right away because it can take 10 to 14 days to mature enough on the skin for you to see. We do have safe and nontoxic products for the treatment of ringworm in pets.

One product we offer to treat your home for ringworm is our PuraCleenRx Xtreme Cleen. This is a concentrated disinfectant cleaner that can be diluted for spraying, mopping and laundering. The other product we offer to ringworm in your home is our PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray. This is a ready to spray hospital grade disinfectant that can be used all over the home to treat for ringworm spores. Both of these products are fungicides. The PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray can be used on furniture, bedding and carpeting as well as a hard surface disinfectant.

It is proven in studies that cats are more susceptible to ringworm than other animals. Ringworm can be very difficult to treat because they can have ringworm spores on the fur without having visible signs of ringworm. You can use the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray on your cat’s fur to prevent the spreading of the ringworm spores that are not visible. Your cat does not need to be saturated. It is best to spray it in your hands and then rub it into the fur. Cats tend to get spooked by sprays. We also suggest giving your pet a treat after administering treatments.

Ringworm does not live inside your pet’s body. Ringworm is a fungus spores that lives on your pet’s skin and or fur. The fungus spore burrows into the skin and cause the red raised ring.

Some symptoms of pet ringworm are raised red ring on the skin, hair loss and itching. Sometimes ringworm only shows up on one spot and other times there could be spreading. Cats are more susceptible to catching ringworm than dogs. Ringworm breeds and strives in a moist or wet environment.

Here at Q-Based Healthcare, we offer a safe topical treatment for ringworm on cats or ringworm on dogs. Oral treatments can be taken for pet ringworm depending on the severity. We do not offer oral treatments for ringworm because they can cause harsh side effects. If you are treating a cat with ringworm you would use our PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream and our PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. The PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream is a drawing agent that draws the ringworm fungus spores to the surface of the skin. The PetsBestRx Healing and Protections Spray works against the ringworm fungus spores on contact. Both of these products help to repair the skin and in turn promote hair re-growth.

If you are treating a dog with ringworm you would use our PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream, PetsBestRx Healing Gel and the PetsBestRx Pet Wash. The PetsBestRx Healing Gel and PetsBestRx Pet Wash are not to be used on cats.

One product we offer to treat your home for ringworm is our PuraCleenRx Xtreme Cleen. This is a concentrated disinfectant cleaner that can be diluted for spraying, mopping and laundering. When using Xtreme Cleen in the laundry, you will need to use it in conjunction with your normal laundry detergent. The other product we offer to ringworm in your home is our PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray. This is a ready to spray hospital grade disinfectant that can be used all over the home to treat for ringworm spores. Some places it can be used is your furniture, bedding and carpeting. Both of these products are fungicides. The PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray can be used on furniture, bedding and carpeting as well as a hard surface disinfectant.

Your pet does not have to be dirty to catch ringworm. They can be indoor or outdoor pets and still catch ringworm fungus spores. Ringworm is spread by contact with the ringworm spore in the environment or by touching and infected pet.

It can also be transferred by coming in contact with an object that has come in contact with the infected pet and then come in contact with you or your pet. Some examples of these items are bedding, brushes, furniture or grooming equipment. You will not see the ringworm develop on your pet right away because it can take 10 to 14 days to mature enough on the skin for you to see. A ringworm spore looks like a classic ringworm lesion with patchy areas of hair loss and scalyness. It also usually includes and little inflammation or redness.

Usually ringworm on animals does itch so this is one symptom you can look for in determining if your pet is dealing with ringworm. You can have ringworm diagnosed by a veterinarian. One test they can perform is a fungal culture by adding some hair and skin scrapings into a tube and see what grows on the pieces of skin and fur. The culture can take several days to weeks to mature. The vet can also run a black light over the skin of your pet to see if it glows green. Ringworm fungus spores will glow green under a black light, however this test is not always accurate on pets with lighter fur.

At this time we do not sell any oral medications for pet ringworm because most of them contain harmful ingredients. Some vet prescribed oral ringworm treatments can take over a month to be effective.

We realized there was a need for a fast, effective and non-toxic treatment for pet ringworm. Our answer to this dilemma was then produced as our PetsBestRx Pet Wash, PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream, PetsBestRx Healing Gel and PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. Vet oral medications can be very unpleasant smelling, sticky and staining.

For ringworm on cats the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream and the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray should be used. You will usually be able to tell a difference on the ringworm in the first 3 to 4 days of treatment. Our company usually suggests against the use of oral medications for pet ringworm because they can be very harmful to your pet’s immune system and can cause harsh side effects.

If you need more information about the products or application please call one of our customer support specialists at 337-937-8800 or you can also visit our website at http://www.petsbestrx.com/PetRingworm .

There are some known home remedies for pet ringworm however most of them have been proven ineffective. One home remedy for pet ringworm is tea tree oil. Tea Tree Oil cannot be used on cats.

It is too harsh for delicate animals and can actually kill cats or other delicate animals. Our company has made sure that none of our PetsBestRx products contain any tea tree oil so they are safe enough to be used on cats and other animals. Our people white sulfur cream product for ringworm does contain tea tree oil. Tea tree oil can be very hard on the skin. It also will not kill the ringworm spores but it will help with the itch caused by ringworm on the skin. If it is diluted it can be used on larger dogs but it would still need to be diluted and not used full strength.

Another said home remedy for ringworm is apple cider vinegar. Like tea tree oil, it will not kill ringworm fungus spores but it will help with the itch from ringworm on your pet’s skin. This product is not fatal but it is also not successful.

We do offer products that are a safe, effective and non-toxic treatment for ringworm on pets. The PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream is made with white sulfur MSM and pine oil. The PetsBestRx Pet Wash can be used as a preventive for ringworm on dogs, this wash will remove ringworm fungus spores and bacteria from your pet’s skin and coat.

Yes, there are different types of ringworm conditions. You may naturally assume that ringworm conditions would actually involve a worm. Ringworm is not similar to tape worms or round worms. Ringworm is not a worm but a fungal infection of the fur or epidermal layers.

The tree most common types of fungi responsible for development in your pet are microsporum, trychophyton and epidermophyton. It is important to have your pet’s ringworm properly diagnosed. The treatment for ringworm can sometimes depend on what type of fungus is responsible for the outbreak. Not all anti-fungal products are the same and not all animal skin types are the same.

Ringworm is highly contagious and can be passed by contact with the infected pet or objects that are infected in the environment. Keep in mind that ringworm can flow through the air and infect humans as well as pets. Make sure you are treating your home and your pet at the same time for ringworm. Our company does offer products that can treat over 116 strands of ringworm. The products we use to treat ringworm on your pet are the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream and the PetsBestRx Healing Gel and Healing and Protections Spray. These products are proven 98.5% successful through trials and studies.

Ringworm is spread by contact with infected animals or by touch objects that have been contaminated with ringworm spores. It takes about 10 to 14 days after contact to mature enough on the skin for you to be able to see it. Some common items that contain spores are bedding, brushes, grooming tools, saddles, furniture and rugs.

Not all animals that come in contact with another infected animal will become infected. The age, skin condition, immune system, and grooming habits of your pet all influence whether the fungus and can actually grow and infect your pet’s skin. Animals that are young, old or have a suppressed immune system are more susceptible to ringworm. To determine if your pet has ringworm you can take them to a veterinarian to have a fungal scrape done.

If your pet is diagnosed with ringworm it is important to treat your pet as soon as possible. It is also important to treat your home when dealing with ringworm. Ringworm is highly contagious. Humans can catch ringworm from animals or from object that have come in contact with the ringworm fungus spores. Ringworm spores can survive in your environment for up to 18 months. Once your pet is diagnosed with ringworm, you should consider quarantining them and confining the infected pet to one room. This will make the treatment of your home for ringworm easier.

It is important to vacuum daily and make sure to dispose of the bagging or thoroughly clean the container with an anti-fungal agent. By washing articles of clothing or bedding and placing them in the dryer on High for 20 to 30 minutes, you can insure the ringworm spores and taken care of. You do not have to throw away the items in your home because they can be treated with our environmental products for ringworm.
