Most of our pet ringworm products are used to treat both dogs and cats. However, some of them cannot be used on a cat. For instance our PetsBestRx Pet Wash and our PetsBestRx Healing Gel should not be used on a cat because they are formulated specifically for dogs.

If they are used on cats they can make your cat become lethargic. To start the ringworm regimen you want to use the PetsBestRx Pet Wash. Remember this is only to be used on dogs and not on cats. You only need to apply a dime size of the pet wash to the ringworm area. It would help to sanitize the skin, remove debris and clean up spores on the fur. You want to leave the Pet Wash on the pet for five minutes and then rinse off the skin and towel dry. Once your pet is dry, wait fifteen minutes and apply the PetsBestRx Sulfinex Cream to the ringworm affected areas only. This product can be used on cats and dogs alike. Do not apply the Sulfinex cream to non-affected area because it may cause the skin to become irritated.

You only want to use a light layer of the Sulfinex Cream and it can be applied up to twice per day. If there are any cream crystals left on the fur, you want to wipe them off with a paper towel or a wash cloth. If you are treating a dog, you need to alternate the cream with the PetsBestRx Healing Gel. One product needs to be applied in the morning and one at night. You use the Healing Gel lightly only on the ringworm sore. If you are treating a cat, you need to alternate the cream with the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. One product needs to be applied in the morning and one at night. You use the Healing Spray lightly only on the ringworm sore.

We also offer our PetsBestRx Mighty Vites to help boost your pet’s immune system. These can be used on a dog or a cat. These will be able to help your pet fight the ringworm spores. For your home you can use the PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray to keep the spores away. It only needs to be lightly misted, nothing needs to be saturated.
