We do have a regimen that comes in your ear mite package. This is a very easy to use step by step regimen that will not only tell you how to treat your pet but also assist with treating your home for ear mites.

When treating for ear mites, it is also important to treat your environment because this condition is highly contagious. We do offer our All Stop DE-Stroy Pest Control Eco Dust to treat your home for ear mites. This is a food grade diatomaceous earth powder that is completely safe to use around kids and pets as well as yourself. This product can be used indoors and outdoors as well. If the product is removed, swept up or becomes wet it will need to be reapplied.

We also offer two disinfectants for your home. These are our PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray and our PuraCleenRx Xtreme Cleen. These are also completely nontoxic and safe to use all over the home. The Disinfectant Spray is a ready to use hospital grade disinfectant. The Xtreme Cleen is a concentrated disinfectant. This product can be diluted two ounces per gallon of water for spraying, mopping and laundering. Both of the disinfectants are very pleasant smelling. Nothing needs to be saturated with these products only lightly sprayed or applied.

Normally with ear mites one of the first signs and symptoms is intense itching or scratching at the ears.

Other symptoms are shaking of the head, rubbing the head against objects and a brown or black discharge from the ear. When you are dealing with microscopic mites that burrow into the skin, the burrowing will cause the itching in the ear. Also the ear mite feces and secretions in the skin can cause a reaction making your pet itch.

The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray does contain benzalkonium chloride which is known to help with itching. This product should stop the itching on contact and it can be applied up to three times per day. The PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray with surfactants will also help with the itching but is mainly designed to kill the mites on contact.

The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection spray can also help to get rid of any infections that are in the ear. Our ear mite solution is completely safe and nontoxic and does not contain any pesticides. If you have any more questions or need to speak with a customer service specialist you can call 1-337-937-8800 or visit us online at http://www.petsbestrx.com/EarMites .

Another reason your pet my keep getting ear mites, is if they have a lowered immune system. Our company offers products to treat your pet for ear mites and also to treat your environment.

We treat ear mites with our PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray and PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. These products should be applied lightly with a Q-tip.

You pet can come into contact with an ear mite from animal to animal contact or host to host contact. This also includes human to animal contact.

Ear mites can transfer to your clothing and you can infect pets. The ear mite is an infectious organism that resembles a microscopic tick. The ear mites can barely be seen and if they are you can see a white spot.

One common sign of an ear mite infection is black specs or coffee ground looking material in the ears. Ear mites feed off of the wax and debris in the ear after hatching. The constant life cycle of the mites causes bacteria and fungus to breed in the ear causing infection.

This can also cause swelling and inflammation. If ear mites are left untreated it can cause permanent hearing loss. Ear mites usually live in the ear but they can also move to other parts of the body. The life cycle of an ear mite usually takes about 21 days from eggs to adults. The female mites normally lay about five eggs per day and the eggs normally hatch within four days.

At this point the eggs continue to molt into the larvae stage. The larvae normally feed everyday for four days straight and then the rest for 24 hours and then molt into the nymph stage. The nymphs normally feed for three to five days, rest for one day and then molt into an adult. We treat ear mites with our PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray and PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray.

These products are suggested to be applied using a Q-tip. The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray is made to clean out the debris from the ear and also to help heal any ear infections that may have been caused by the mites. This product will also help with the itching for ear mites. The PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray is used to kill the ear mites in the ear and dehydrate the ear mite eggs.

The Healing and Protection Spray should be used in the morning and the Mitactin Spray should be used at night. For the environment we do offer the All Stop DE-Stroy Pest Control Eco Dust. This is a completely safe or nontoxic food grade diatomaceous earth.

If you notice that you pet is scratching at their ears, rubbing their ears or face, shaking of the head, wincing, or coffee ground debris in the ear these are the most common signs of ear mites in pets. If left untreated, ear mites can cause permanent hearing loss or damage to the ear canal. We treat ear mites with our PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray and PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray.

The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray is made to clean out the debris from the ear and also to help heal any ear infections that may have been caused by the mites. The PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray is used to kill the ear mites in the ear and dehydrate the ear mite eggs. Unlike common veterinarian ear mite treatments, our treatment is completely safe and nontoxic.

This product has a residual effect and can be used indoors and outdoors. We also offer two disinfectant cleaners. These are our PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray or PuraCleenRx Xtreme Cleen. These both can be used all over the home for ear mites.

We have the PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray that is a hospital grade disinfectant. You can use that to clean your kitchen, bathroom, and lightly spray on your carpet, your upholstery; pet’s bedding area, and even your vehicles.

You do not want to soak anything. It only needs to be lightly misted over areas. We also have the PuraCleenRx Xtreme Cleen concentrate that can be diluted 2oz to a gallon of water. You can clean your home or pet areas with the diluted Xtreme Cleen. You can apply 2oz of the Xtreme Cleen Concentrate to a load of clothes.

These two products are both derived from a formulation of the ingredient, benzalkonium chloride. We have another product that is good to use for ear mites. It is call the All Stop DE-Stroy Diatomaceous Earth. The DE is a food grade, crushed fossilized seashell that is safe and non-toxic for people and pets.

You can sprinkle it everywhere in your home. You can sprinkle on your mattress, wall boards, carpets and furniture. You can also sprinkle on your pet’s bedding area and vehicles. It will not hurt anyone or your pet, because it is food grade. The DE is very fine like baby powder.

The common medicines that you can use to kill the mites can vary. There are products that can contain insecticides such as permetherins.

There are also products that do not contain insecticides and are not really helpful in getting rid of ear mites. There are products that we know about that are called Ivermectin, Frontline, and Revolution. These products are recommended by veterinarians. It is approved by the vets as a way to treat for ear mites in cats and other small pets. It all depends on what medication you would like to use. Not all pets’ skin types are the same. We do have products that you can use to treat your pets with ear mites.

The products that you can use are the PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray and the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. These products can be used together in conjunction to rid of ear mites. We have products to treat your home and environment as well. The products are called the All Stop DE-Stroy Diatomaceous Earth, Xtreem Clean Concentrate and the Disinfectant Spray. You want to make sure you treat your home because ear mites are contagious. If you have other pets you want to make sure you keep all your other pets away or quarantined.

The ear mites can get onto your other pets and furniture. It is important you treat your home and pet all at the same time to prevent re- infection. Ear mites are not known to go on humans. Ear mites prefer to stay on their host. There are known cases where an ear mite can get in your ear and bother you for a while. Ear mites do not stay with you and infest your ears like they do your pets.

Yes, we offer a step by step regimen that tells you how to treat your pets for ear mites and prevent your pet from getting ear infections.

We recommend you wrap your pet in a large towel to prevent your pet from wiggling, moving around, or hurting themselves. It will also prevent you from getting scratched by your pets. You want to use the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray to gently rub your pet’s ear with a cotton ball or q-tip to remove any debris or wax.

Once completed you want to apply the PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray around the afternoon or night to the inner part of the ear in the same way. You want to avoid cleaning to deep in your pet’s ear canal to prevent any damage to the ear drums. The PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray is not an ear drop.

You do not want to pour the product in your pet’s ears. You want to follow the directions that you are given in your package unless otherwise directed. We have a product for your environment. It is called the Diatomaceous Earth Eco Dust.

You can sprinkle the powder everywhere where your pet sleeps. You can sprinkle it all over in your home, outside and even in your car. We also have the PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray that can be used daily to clean your home, kitchen, or where ever your pet sleeps and plays.
