What dog breeds are more susceptible to ear mites?
Ear mites do not like one breed of pet more than the next. They will infest any pet whether young or older or cats or dogs.
If you notice that you pet is scratching at their ears, rubbing their ears or face, shaking of the head, wincing, or coffee ground debris in the ear these are the most common signs of ear mites in pets. If left untreated, ear mites can cause permanent hearing loss or damage to the ear canal. We treat ear mites with our PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray and PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray.
The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray is made to clean out the debris from the ear and also to help heal any ear infections that may have been caused by the mites. The PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray is used to kill the ear mites in the ear and dehydrate the ear mite eggs. Unlike common veterinarian ear mite treatments, our treatment is completely safe and nontoxic. When treating for ear mites, it is also important to treat your environment because this condition is highly contagious.
We do offer our All Stop DE-Stroy Pest Control Eco Dust to treat your home for ear mites. This is a food grade diatomaceous earth powder that is completely safe to use around kids and pets as well as yourself. This product has a residual effect and can be used indoors and outdoors. We also offer two disinfectant cleaners. These are our PuraCleenRx Disinfectant Spray or PuraCleenRx Xtreme Cleen. These both can be used all over the home for ear mites.
