The first product of the ear mite treatment is the PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray. The PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray is made of ionic and anionic surfactants which are soaps and detergents.

PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray is used to kill the ear mites in the ear and dehydrate the ear mite eggs. The second product for ear mites is our PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. The PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray is made of benzalkonium chloride. This ingredient has been used in hospital grade disinfectants for years and it is completely nontoxic to bacteria and fungus.

This product kills the bacteria in the ear. On almost all cases of ear mites, there will be bacteria present that needs to be taken care of. This bacteria can cause infections and inflammation in the inner ear canal. The PetsBestRx Healing and Protections Spray helps to reduce the swelling and quicken the healing process.  It is common for animals with ear mites to scratch at the ear and make open wounds.

This spray will help to heal those sores and prevent infection. We recommend that you spray either of these products on a Q-tip for application.  This will help with precision and these products should not be poured of dropped in the ear. These products should not be applied at the same time.

When treating for ear mites, it is also important to treat your environment because this condition is highly contagious. We do offer our All Stop DE-Stroy Pest Control Eco Dust to treat your home for ear mites. This is a food grade diatomaceous earth powder that is completely safe to use around kids and pets as well as yourself. If this product becomes wet, it will need to be reapplied.
