The common medicines that you can use to kill the mites can vary. There are products that can contain insecticides such as permetherins.

There are also products that do not contain insecticides and are not really helpful in getting rid of ear mites. There are products that we know about that are called Ivermectin, Frontline, and Revolution. These products are recommended by veterinarians. It is approved by the vets as a way to treat for ear mites in cats and other small pets.  It all depends on what medication you would like to use. Not all pets’ skin types are the same. We do have products that you can use to treat your pets with ear mites.

The products that you can use are the PetsBestRx Mitactin Spray and the PetsBestRx Healing and Protection Spray. These products can be used together in conjunction to rid of ear mites. We have products to treat your home and environment as well. The products are called the All Stop DE-Stroy Diatomaceous Earth, Xtreem Clean Concentrate and the Disinfectant Spray. You want to make sure you treat your home because ear mites are contagious. If you have other pets you want to make sure you keep all your other pets away or quarantined.

The ear mites can get onto your other pets and furniture. It is important you treat your home and pet all at the same time to prevent re- infection. Ear mites are not known to go on humans. Ear mites prefer to stay on their host. There are known cases where an ear mite can get in your ear and bother you for a while. Ear mites do not stay with you and infest your ears like they do your pets.
